An inspirational story of a Sweetlings benificiary- Nikhil Gaikwad
Nikhil Gaikwad is a type-1 diabetes patient and a beneficiary of our project Sweetling. Here is his true inspirational story
Witnessing the 10th class results of our children with type 1 diabetes was a moment of pride and joy. Our unwavering dedication to their overall development, along with providing them with essential medical facilities, ensured that they were well-prepared to pass with flying colors. Education is our priority, and we are committed to helping them complete their studies successfully.
This year, we faced a unique challenge, as 70 percent of the 10th class students were visually impaired. Among them was Nikhil Gaikwad, who faced additional hurdles, having been expelled from his previous school. However, through relentless efforts, we managed to secure his admission at Chhatrapati Shivaji Vidyalaya in Bhosari. Nikhil's mother, despite facing financial hardship (living in a house characterized by poverty), made sure to support him every step of the way. She took care of his insulin meals at school, and our team of doctors regularly monitored his condition, helping him maintain control over his diabetes.
Nikhil's determination was truly inspiring. He used various methods to study, such as listening to audio materials and reading book screenshots on his mobile phone. His hard work paid off, and he achieved remarkable success in his 10th standard examinations. Nikhil's story serves as an encouragement to others, especially his brother Sushant, who also faces diabetes and blindness. There is no doubt that Sushant will look up to Nikhil as a role model and strive to achieve similar success in the future.
As we move forward, we are determined to continue our efforts to support and uplift these children. Their success is a testament to the power of determination, perseverance, and care. We extend our best wishes to Nikhil and all the other children for their future endeavors. With our collective dedication, there is no doubt that we will move ahead and make a positive impact on the lives of these children.
